Before we get started, I would like to introduce myself and say a few words about the origin of How to Get Clients and Build Your Own Million Dollar Clientele!...


I was born in New Zealand 1968 and graduated from the Taranaki Technical Institute 1989. While developing his technical and business skills as a stylist apprenticed under the tuitionand guidance of Lyndsay val Loveridge; who has trained top quality stylists for more than five decades not least of whom includes the well known session stylist and artist Paterick Cameron; I developed an appreciation and deep understanding of various holistic health improvement methods including ayervedic massage, naturopathy, reflexology, reiki, which formed the basis for my service oriented approach.
In 1991 I realized that a holistic approach when coupled with strong tecnical foundations and well thoughtout training and business systems centered around servicing clients was to become my point of difference and was key in creating my first million dollar clientele
It was then that I began to visualize an operating manual not just for business but for the new stylist - and the concepts of How to Grow Your Million Dollar Clientele began to emerge.
Now after a two and a half year sabbatical (read, extended surfing holiday) and successfully disembling and recreating clienteles on two continents I now work with businesses internationally using proprietary systems and techniques the core four of which are found in this e-book, this is the foundation stone showing “how to reveal existing lean or hidden marketing assets and leverage and optimize these assets to grow your business”
Although working now alongside with many different businesses from CPA´s to non-profit organisations, with more than 20+ years in the beauty industry this remains one of my favourite passions and fortés that I am committed to learning and educatiing people about, and in my opinion I am an expert in this area, haha!

These are the four core aspects of a much larger 8 step system, when implemented they should be an on-going system for increasing revenue and profit. Always test the system first. When success is found, roll out the system into a campaign. The system should require minimal effort and time once it is implemented. Two to three hours per week should be adequate to realize continued success from it and free you to spend your time in the creative areas that you are truely passionate about
Each of the steps is designed to be measurable and increase revenue and profit on a regular basis. More success may come from one part of the system than another .
As the system is implemented into your efforts, not only will you enjoy increased revenue and profit your million dollar clientele will be built on multiple marketing pillars giving you greater marketing stability. STEP #1
 USP Uniqueness is NOT Branding!

Everybody learns differently, alot people in this industry are visual, however most learn via a combination of different learning styles, of the different types of methods that people learn are by physically doing something, listening or by looking and learnig generally people favour one most, because of this I strongly urge you to stop reading now find yourself a journal and pen (or coloured pencils,) to make notes in, draw pictures mind maps etc. free minmapping software here http://www.mapyourmind.com/books.htm
This book is your blueprint to building a million dollar clientele, however you are the architect and you will start to formulate your plan as we go.



What makes you special? What do you stand for. There are 3 billion people on the planet but only one that knows what you know and feels what you feel. What do you do better than anyone else, this is the USP and it is the most important part of the system as everything else is built around it and will communicate the things about what you can offer that are most important to your clientele even if you are not speaking to them in person. I am not talking about a catchy slogan cute brand logo or mission statement, your clients do not care about that!
Seriously, forget it don´t waste your time.  Whilst there is obvious value in having them,
a well defined and communicated unique selling proposition USP alone is your combination to unlocking your million dollar clientele, I cannot stress this enough.
It is your goldmine.

The objective of this step is to discover your USP and leverage the marketing efforts already in place by  your employer and competitors to create a way to differentiate yourself. Your competitors might not only be others with similar abilities and clienteles but ones with similar attitudes towards and understanding of your available products and services.

What Is USP & Why Must I Have One?

Nugget #1: Branding is not just for Superbowl advertisers. If you haven't identified your natural skill, talent, interest or expertise -  or if you're not clearly and consistently expressing and defining yourself -  chances are your clients can't either.
Most people are afraid of niches or specifity because they think it may limit their success or potential. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
Ambiguity and uncertainty translates into insecurity. USP Personal branding is uniquely you. Own it -  love it -  express it! Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
(oh, and by the way -  once you've mastered your niche -  then you get to expand and do anything else you want just like you will do with your industry skils!!!)

At the time of writing this, I saw a great example that shows the difference between a slogan and the beginnings of a USP:
WITHOUT
(company name)-Preventus
(what they do)-Breast Cancer Diagnostics & Prevention
(their catchy slogan)-a flight towards life
WITH
-Preventus
- For 50 years we are the #1 preferred diagnosticians for breast cancer prevention
-a flight towards life

If you were searching yellow pages or google which ad you you choose?  I even made the font bigger on the first so it stands out but the second lets you know what they “stand for” and this is your first assignment.
  • There must be a compelling reason to do business with you.
  • Your selling advantage (USP) should set you apart and position yourself as unique in the marketplace.
  • There must be a workable, logical, and strategic way to begin to capture the revenue your competitors are enjoying. We begin with developing your USP and will build on this in later chapters.
  • Capturing competitor’s customers with better marketing, communication, service and enticements will bring their revenue to you and make them a part of your million dollar clientele. This will cause growth which will demand hiring more staff or assistants to meet demand. Ok lets dig a bit deeper to reveal your USP. . .
